Dr. Pope started her blog in 2007! She wanted to share her experiences and accomplishments with her readers. The name was originally, Dr. Pope’s Writing World. She decided to change it to something shorter and more aligned with her brand.

Dr. Pope has been an educator for over 20 years. In 2017, she decided to go full-time into business for herself. Although she has struggled, she continues to be a full-time entreprenuer.

In August of 2018, she became a television producer for Houston Media Source Television. She is currently a television producer and host of Conversations with Dr. Pope. Her new shows air on  Comcast 17 and AT &T channel 99 via Houston Media Source Television.

In 2019, Dr. Pope started her own digital channel called POPE Television on ROKU. You can watch all episodes of Conversation with Dr. Pope on ROKU.

She is also the Founder & CEO of Pope’s Resource Center, LLC, The Resource Center, Dr. Pope’s STEM & Liberal Arts Academy,  and The Next Move Re-entry Program. The Resource Center is HUB certified and Pope’s Resource Center, LLC is certified as a Metro Small Business Enterprise.

Dr. Pope started a production company called, New Beginning Media and Production Company.  She is currently writing a book with a mission to help virgin business owners start their businesses with Toni Anderson, Founder/CEO of Cruises by Toni.

Dr. Pope is the author of “Writing Essentials: Strategies to Master Freshmen English and Writing Placement Exams” (ISBN: 978-1-61549-765-2). After going through the publishing business hersefl, she decided to become a publisher. Through Pope’s Resource Center, LLC publishing, Dr. Pope’s helps authors brings their experiences to life.

Dr. Pope is also the founder of Boss Ladies Professional Network Inc. She believes women can succeed and prosper if they network and collaborate together to promote each other companies, share ideas, and promote each other’s products. She believes we have more power when we are united with a single focus. She has a facebook group called Boss Ladies . It was designed to be a safe place for female CEOs to share their Join Us!

Dr. Pope has served as an Visiting English Professor at Texas Southern University, Adjunct Psychology Professor at Houston Community College and an ELA teacher in Houston ISD. She has a Ph.D. in Psychology from Capella University. Dr. Pope is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern for the state of Texas. She holds certifications in Texas as Principal (K-12), School Counselor (K-12), English Language Art and Reading Teacher (7-12 & 1-8), Special Education Teacher (K-12), and a Paraprofessional. She is a consultant and presenter with a wicked sense of humor.

After her divorce and becoming a single mother. After her divorce, she adopted three beautiful children. Dr. Pope has a passion for encouraging people to do their best work and to perform at their best levels. She is a proud Democrat and feminist. Dr. Pope has strong opinions about education, adoption, politics, motherhood, and life in general.
